Born on the Southern Oregon Coast and trained as an educator and a chef, Julia now combines her passion for plants, food, and healing as an herbalist and intuitive tarot reader.

Julia became enamored with the philosophy that food is medicine while working as a Nutrition Educator in Northern Wisconsin. Her career as an educator led her to New Orleans, and eventually to the San Francisco Bay Area, where she began exploring the intersections of food and cultural identity. In 2013 she founded Noshland, a company combining Jewish food with educational experiences.

She began to feel the pull towards working with plants more deeply, and in 2019 she completed a 600-hour Clinical Herbalist certification program in Berkeley California before moving back to her rural oceanside hometown one year later. She now lives in a cabin in the woods, spending her free time exploring the land with her adventure mutt Clementine, and continuously learning from the plants.
